David’s brother called him prideful, arrogant, and wicked of heart for walking out on the battlefield to challenge Goliath (1 Samuel 17:28). The Pharisees, not only said the same about Jesus, but also said that He was of the devil as well (Matthew 12:24; John 8:12). They spent so much time with the Father, and He built them up to the point that they walked confidently in who they were and what they were supposed to do. They walked boldly, declaring the Lord’s victories.
If we can learn to do the same, our enemies, and even our friends and family, will say that we are prideful, arrogant, self righteous, wicked of heart, and yes, even of the devil, but that should never tear us away from our calling and purpose in the Kingdom.
